A bubbly cocktail you will be thankful for
Where is time going? Today I was looking at the calendar and seriously had to do a double-take. When I first moved into my home I couldn’t wait for the holidays to get here so I could decorate with festive decor, cook big meals, and celebrate the holidays. Now, it what seems like it was in the blink of an eye, Thanksgiving is THIS week!
Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays because it is the one day of the year I go all out on my cooking. I make everything from scratch: the rolls, stuffing, gravy, sweet potato casserole. The list goes on! I am so excited to celebrate this year in the new house and continue our Thanksgiving traditions.
As soon as Andy and I wake up, we turn on the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and cozy up with a cup of coffee, thinking of everything that we are thankful for in our lives. However, once I start cooking, the champagne starts flowing!
I usually do some sort of champagne cocktail or throw in some cranberries into a glass of bubbly, but this year I have this little festive cocktail to get into the Thanksgiving spirit.
What better way to celebrate the holiday than with incorporating the smells of the season: cranberry, orange, ginger, and of course, bubbly – mmmm!
Cranberry Orange Bubbly Spritzer
- 2 parts Prosecco
- 1 part cranberry juice
- Splash of Triple Sec
- Splash of Ginger Ale
Bubbly Wife Tip: This cranberry orange bubbly spritzer is a great way to wow your guests – place a glass next to their place setting at the dining room table. You can always get seating cards that attach to the rim of the champagne glass if you are really feeling fancy.
How do you and your loved ones celebrate Thanksgiving?! Do you have any favorite traditions?
