April Showers Bring… Champagne.
When did it become April? Where did March go?! Okay, so I have been MIA lately, but this past month seriously flew by in the blink of an eye!
I figured now would be a good time to introduce a new segment called small talk into my blog to help connect the dots in my life when I can barely keep up.
March was filled with lots of friends, good food, my parents visiting, my first polo event, tying up loose details of our vacation, and some other exciting things mixed in along the way. I figured I’d recap some of my favorite things that I’ve stumbled upon in March.
This past month I stopped into Ulta for some things and came across bath bombs called Fizz & Bubble (with a name like that, I had to buy them)! Yes, I know they have been around and I have heard of Lush, but these were an impulse buy that I don’t regret.
I enjoy soaking in the tub and I love the variety of scents you get in this box. Rainbow sherbert – count me in! These bath bombs are the perfect way to relax mid-week or to enjoy a Friday night in. Find these little guys here when you want to indulge in your next spa day at home.

March had some amazing weather here in Sarasota. It was the perfect amount of breeze and sunshine! That being said, I bought way too many workout clothes. I recently found out the Adidas store at Ellenton Premium Outlets gives you 20% off with your AAA discount – hence why my closet is overflowing with athletic wear. As Carrie Bradshaw once said, I like my money right where I can see it…hanging in my closet.
I fell in love with a pair of Adidas leggings that I bought. I wouldn’t workout in the gym in these, but they are the perfect airport outfit for a long travel day. Or they are the perfect pant for a crisp morning walk. They are leisure meets athletic style.
I am slowly…slowly being the key word – trying to incorporate as much organic food as possible in our household. It’s been hard for me since the Publix by us doesn’t have a great organic meat selection. Not too recently, I found out that you can ask Publix to carry a certain item and they will order it. So in the meantime, Costco has been my lifesaver (I should have known Costco would have my back). After vacation, I can’t wait to make a stop to Whole Foods and compare prices – oh, the joys of being an adult.
My favorite go-to organic snacks that have been filling our kitchen pantry are Annie’s chocolate chip organic granola bars. They are a lifesaver for tying me over at work while satisfying my sweet tooth. They were also BOGO at Publix! Currently, they have a $1 digital coupon that expires 5/14/17 when you buy two Annie’s brand snacks. Also, I’m a big fan of Costco’s snack bags of Angie’s Boom Chicka Pop organic popcorn variety mix of buttered popcorn and kettle corn.
I stumbled upon Pertois-Moriset Brut Champagne recently while out on the town. I gave this as a gift to a friend and I bought a bottle for myself (would you expect anything less?) and it was soooo good and definitely makes it way on my list as one of my new faves. This bubbly is the perfect amount of sweet to enjoy by itself yet would pair great with some cheese and crackers while binge watching my favorite shows. This has easily become one of my new favorites and it was on sale (WINNING)!
April is here which now means a well-deserved vacation, my birthday, and other eventful moments along the way!
The best is yet to come!
