As exciting as it has been decorating our first home (and not just because my husband informed me to “go crazy with the decor.”), I never realized how expensive it would be to put the little touches on our house… but I want all of those cute, little touches. However, it quickly adds up when you have other stuff going on in your life.
Lately, I have been trying to not to spend too much money without the guilt sinking in (that same type of guilt when you go out for late night bacon cheese fries, but are supposed to be on a diet), but what can I say, I love a good shopping trip.
So, the other day, I convinced my husband that we needed to get out of the house for a little bit. However, the first thing you need to know about me if you’re going to read my blog is my love for random shopping trips and anything kate spade.
But where does one bargain hunt and find kate spade home decor?! HomeGoods.
Our old apartment was dangerously close to HomeGoods – as in, not even a five-minute walk. Over the past several years, I have stumbled upon so many adorable kate spade items that HomeGoods sells at a discounted price. I have found cooking aprons, mugs, glassware, dinnerware, and stationary – all for a reduced price!
On this particular trip with Andy, who thought that we were just going to “walk around and browse,” I found this matching kate spade tablecloth and placemats.
When we have guests over we enjoy having drinks and talking around our dining room table while playing card games and whatnot. Since our dining room table is new, I’ve been keeping a careful watch to prevent it from getting scratched. I have been meaning to find a tablecloth but I wanted something chic. And good thing I waited because I found the perfect one from HomeGoods. I love the rose design and it’s a perfect match for our dining room.
The rose design is stunning and I love how I have a matching tablecloth with placemats. Though I do think that the placemats will look amazing by themselves too! These placemats really make the kate spade Mercer Drive fine China set pop!
The tablecloth has the original price tag of $40.00 which I got for $20.00. The placemats original price tag is $36.00 and I got for $14.99. – Over 50% in savings makes this shopping trip worth it.
Happy shopping and share your greatest finds of designer goods at HomeGoods in the comments section below!
Bubbly Wife Tip – I recommend adding the HomeGoods app ‘The Goods’ – it previews items in the stores nearby so that you can browse on your mobile device to see if the trip to HomeGoods is worth it! It also lets you connect with other shoppers who love HomeGoods just as much as you!
